  • The Escape Festival: 2016

    From Escape the City

We're on a mission to help 1 million people find fulfilling work.

We're constantly on the look out for new ways to help people discover and live a 21st Century Career.

This will be our third festival. Our favourite weekend of the year where we bring the best of Escape together in a stunning outdoor setting:

Inspiring talks | Creative and action-orientated workshops | Woodland games and workouts | The Firepit | Open mics | Soulful djs, live music, dancing under the stars | The Sunday Sermon

The Queen Bee Game | The Cowshed: Real ales, ciders, cocktails and juices |Popup organic food stalls

    See you in the woods.

  • The Experience

"What an unbelievable bunch of legends. It was an absolute pleasure to meet each and everyone of you. I can't pick a highlight - there are too many... Just awesome."

"A cross between Burning Man, TED, a Life Coaching session, a Therapy session, and camping in the woods with your (soon to be) friends. I laughed, I cried, and I went away from the weekend feeling more inspired than I have in years. Thanks for an amazing experience!"

"My favourite weekend of the year, hands down. Thanks everyone for being beyond awesome."

"This mind-blowing energy, kindness, and inspiration. It hit my soul very deeply. I feel so so so lucky to have met all if you. Love, love, love."

"I came back buzzing and reenergised to be crazy enough to chase my big dreams. The people there were just amazing and what made it invaluable was the diversity of everyone's background. It's pretty safe to say that within the first 24hrs the price of the ticket was more than worth it."

"Woke up this morning in a warm bed with a cat on my head feeling a little bit sad. As much as I love these things I'd swap them for another night in a cold tent followed for a day of inspiring stories with you lot."

Escape the day-to-day routine and reconnect with nature. A little perspective goes a long way.

The Escape Festival is about listening to, connecting with and sharing stories of 21st Century Careers. Doing something different is possible.

  • Find your Tribe

If there's one thing we've learned, it's that being surrounded by likeminded people is the best way to give your Escape plan momentum.

  • The Escape Festival: Kent, England

An hour from London. A world away from the City.

    Food & Drink

Food and Drink is NOT included in the Ticket price

There will be lots of options on site

We'll have some awesome locally sourced ciders, ales and wild cocktails available, which you can 'pay' for using tokens that you'll receive on arrival. Tea and coffee will be available for free throughout the weekend. In addition, there will be a wonderful 'proper coffee' van where you can buy a nice fresh coffee if you need a pick-me-up.

What if I have special dietary requirements?

Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary options will be available on-site

Where is the festival and how do I get there?

The festival site is beautiful farm around an hour from London - 20 minutes drive from Tunbridge Wells.

    Travel by train

If you're coming from London, trains go frequently from Cannon Street or from Charing Cross direct to Tunbridge Wells (check out National Rail for details or if you're coming from elsewhere in the country).

Once you reach Tunbridge Wells rail station, grab a taxi to the festival site. The address is: Clayton Organic Farm, Newick Lane, Mayfield, East Sussex, TN20 6RE. We recommend booking your taxi - one option is Walkers Cars (01892522522) who will do the trip for £25-30.

Co-ordinate your trip with others in the Facebook group so you can share a taxi to save cash (and the planet!)

    Travel by car

Check out this map to sort out directions from your home. There is parking available at the festival site where you can leave your car for the weekend.

You are welcome to arrive any time from midday on Friday, and things will start getting going from around 4-5pm onwards.

On Sunday, the festival will start to close down at around 4pm. You can leave any time before then if it suits you better; and, if needed, we'll be able to help you arrange a taxi back to Tunbridge Wells.

    Facilities & what to bring

What amenities are available on the site?

    • There will be basic outdoor toilets and wash basins available for you to use at different points around the site.
    • Parking is available a short walk away from the main site.
    • Power on the site will be run from a generator, so power sockets will not be readily available - and the Woods are a chance to Digitally Detox :). If you need your phone for emergencies, we recommend bringing a battery pack.
    • Clean drinking water will be available at all times.

What do I need to pack?

If you have a standard ticket (i.e. are not glamping)

    Make sure you bring:

    - A tent

    - Roll mat / airbed (if you have one)

    - A sleeping bag + pillow

    - A torch

    - A waterproof

    - Comfy shoes that you don't mind getting a bit muddy

    If you are glamping
You'll need all of the above EXCEPT a tent and roll mat/airbed. Your 3-person bell tent will be waiting for you when you arrive, complete with small camping bed, rugs, comfy cushions and a little lamp. Please still bring a sleeping bag and pillow.
